Frequently Asked Questions About Bespoke WordPress Training
What’s included in a bespoke WordPress training session?
Your bespoke WordPress training session is completely tailored to your specific needs and website. Unlike generic courses that cover material you might already know or topics that aren’t relevant to your business, we focus exclusively on what you need to learn.
Sessions can cover anything from basic WordPress administration (adding pages, posts, and images) to more advanced features like customising your theme, managing plugins, optimising for search engines, or building custom page layouts.
Each session is structured around your actual WordPress website, so you’re learning with real examples from your own site rather than theoretical demos. If you’re working on a specific project – like launching a new product page or restructuring your navigation – we can design the entire training around that goal.
Sessions are recorded and provided to you afterwards, so you have a permanent reference guide tailored to your business.
Do I need any prior experience with WordPress to book training?
No prior WordPress experience is necessary. Our bespoke training works for complete beginners through to intermediate users who want to expand their skills.
If you’re brand new to WordPress, we’ll start with the fundamentals: understanding the dashboard, the difference between posts and pages, how to add and format content, and managing media.
For those with some experience, we’ll assess your current knowledge level and build from there, focusing on areas where you want to develop further. Because each session is personalised, we won’t waste your time covering things you already understand.
Whether you’ve just inherited a WordPress website and need to learn how to update it, or you’ve been using WordPress for a while but want to learn more advanced techniques, we’ll pitch the training at exactly the right level for you.
How does the pricing work for one-to-one versus group training?
One-to-one training is charged at £50 per half hour and takes place online via video call. You can book as many or as few half-hour sessions as you need, and you’re welcome to spread them over whatever time frame works for you – whether that’s several sessions in one week or monthly refreshers over several months. This flexibility means you only pay for the time you actually need.
For group training (more than three people), we offer discounted rates, though these vary depending on group size, session length, and whether training is delivered online or at your office. Group sessions can be particularly cost-effective for businesses where multiple team members need similar training – for example, if several staff members need to learn how to update your company blog or manage product listings.
For an accurate group training quote based on your specific requirements, simply get in touch with your details and we’ll provide a tailored price.
Can training be delivered in person at our Manchester office, or is it online only?
We offer both online and in-person training options. Our standard bespoke training sessions are delivered online via video call, which keeps costs down at £50 per half hour and means you can participate from anywhere – your office, home, or wherever is convenient. Online sessions are recorded so you can refer back to them afterwards.
However, if you’d prefer face-to-face training at your Manchester office or workplace, we can absolutely arrange this. In-person training is priced on a bespoke basis depending on your location within Greater Manchester, the number of attendees, and session length.
On-site training can be particularly valuable for group sessions where team collaboration is important, or if you prefer the hands-on feel of having a trainer physically present.
We’re based in Stalybridge, Tameside, and regularly work with businesses throughout Manchester – and even as far as Yorkshire – and the surrounding areas.
What happens if I get stuck after my training session ends?
Your learning doesn’t stop when the training session ends. First, all online sessions are recorded and provided to you, creating a personalised reference guide you can revisit whenever you need a reminder about specific techniques or processes we covered. This is invaluable for reinforcing your learning and refreshing your memory weeks or months later.
Additionally, because you’re booking by the half hour, you can easily schedule follow-up sessions whenever you need them – whether that’s to address new questions that have come up, learn additional skills as your website grows, or get help with a specific challenge you’re facing.
Many clients book an initial training block to learn the fundamentals, then return for occasional top-up sessions when they’re ready to tackle new features or projects.
We also offer other support options including pay-as-you-go website support and various maintenance packages, so if you prefer having someone else handle certain tasks rather than learning to do them yourself, we can discuss alternatives that better suit your needs and budget.
